According to an official press release, the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) met on February 13–14, 2026, to review BS-18 officers of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), and Office Management Group (OMG) for promotion to BS-19. A large number of officers were recommended for promotion, while several were granted acting charge appointments.
In the Police Service of Pakistan, officers including Malik Jameel Zaffar, Ameer Saud, Syed Zeehsan Haider, and Najeeb Ullah Pandrani were among those approved for promotion, along with others placed on acting charge.
In the Pakistan Administrative Service, Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh, Nazia Zaman, Bashir Ahmed, Ramallah Ali, Salman Khan, and many more were promoted, with additional officers assigned acting charge roles.
Similarly, a significant number of officers from the Office Management Group were promoted to BS-19, including Saqib Ali Khan, Waheed Ullah Khan, and Nasir Durrani.
Separately, the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), in its meeting held on February 14, 2026, approved promotions of BS-17 officers of the Office Management Group to BS-18. Officers such as Farah Mumtaz, Muhammad Namaan Mustafa, Sana Shoukat, and Muhammad Osman Shakir were included in the promotion list, while some were given acting charge appointments.
Officials stated that these promotions were made on merit and service record, aiming to enhance efficiency and performance within the civil bureaucracy.
