Somalia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Sheikhnur Mohamed Hassan, on Tuesday called on Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad, where both sides discussed matters of mutual interest in a cordial atmosphere.
During the meeting, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif highlighted the longstanding and friendly relations between Pakistan and Somalia, rooted in shared values and strong people-to-people ties. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for peace, stability, and capacity-building efforts in Somalia.
The Somali ambassador thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for their consistent support and cooperation, and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions toward peace and development in Somalia.
Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations through continued engagement and cooperation in various fields.
